Today I took several pictures but settled on this one. You can barely see 'her' but in the center, the green glow are the eyes of a deer. Traci and I were going home and this deer just stood there. After many years of us trying to talk Traci in to getting her ears pierced she FINALLY gave in. Today was the 6 week mark where she could change her earrings. She was very excited!

I volunteer at our weekly luncheon at the town's community center. The menu always includes (mostly) homemade desserts and the first Wednesday of the month is cake day. I think I would be banned if I didn't show up with my oatmeal cake. It is my grandmother's recipe and it's wonderful!

I LOVE a good bargain! They had these before Christmas for $37.98, a good enough price considering the white strips alone sell for $44.00. I knew if I waited they should go on sale.... day after Christmas 1/2 price plus I had a $5 coupon so....... $13.99 for all of this!

I bought this pan last summer at a yard sale for a dollar. This was the first time I used it, making a pot of chili and it just reminded me of my mom, this is similar to the kind of cookware she used.

Ok, so I tried to do this a couple of years ago, taking a picture a day for a year and I failed miserably. I am determined to make it a year. The pictures may get pretty BORING and I may post many pictures from my front deck but there will be 365 of them!Speaking of front deck, this is picture number one. I was running out of daylight with no clue as to what my first picture of the year would be and since this is my view everyday -- there ya go!
